Directions:

Coming from North or South

• Take National Highway No. 3 towards Puli.
• At Wufeng Interchange (214), merge onto National Highway No. 6 towards Guoxing and Puli.
• Take the second exit at Puli Interchange towards Guoxing/Puli, and turn right towards Puli.
• Turn right on Zhongzheng Road, then turn left at Yongfeng Road.
• Continue to follow the signs towards Chung Tai Chan Monastery.
• Turn onto Dongfeng Road and go straight until you arrive at the monastery.

Coming from Neighboring Areas

1. From Taichung

　Passenger Car Routes
　(1)

• After passing through Guanyin Tunnel No. 3, turn left at the first intersection and cross Guanyin Bridge.
• Go straight for 500 meters then turn right at the first split road.
• Follow the signs for Chung Tai Chan Monastery for about 6 kilometers until you arrive at the monastery.

　(2)

• After passing through Guanyin Tunnel No. 3, turn left at the second intersection and cross Shanxin Bridge.
• Follow the signs for Chung Tai Chan Monastery for about 5 kilometers until you arrive at the monastery.

　Tour Bus Routes

• After passing through Guanyin Tunnel No. 3, keep going straight.
• Cross Ailan Bridge into downtown Puli.
• Drive along Zhongshan Road and turn left at Tongyi Gas Station onto Xinyi Road.
• Turn left at Zhongzheng Road, drive for 5 kilometers then turn left at Xian Road and drive for 6 kilometers.
• Turn left at Yongfeng Road to Chung Tai Chan Monastery.

2. From Sun Moon Lake

• Take Route 21 northbound.
• Cross Ailan Bridge into downtown Puli.
• Drive along Zhongshan Road and turn left at Tongyi Gas Station onto Xinyi Road.
• Turn left at Zhongzheng Road, drive for 5 kilometers then turn left at Xian Road and drive for 6 kilometers.
• Turn left at Yongfeng Road to Chung Tai Chan Monastery.

3. From Wushe

　(1)

• Take Route 14 westbound to Puli.
• Go straight on Xinyi Road, then turn right at Xian Road and drive for 6 kilometers to Chung Tai Chan Monastery.

• Take Route 14 westbound to Puli.
• Go straight on Xinyi Road, and then turn right at Zhongzheng Road and drive for 5 kilometers.
• Turn left at Yongfeng Road to Chung Tai Chan Monastery.

4. From Tianleng

• Take Route 21 and after driving 38.5 kilometers, turn right onto Yongfeng Road to Chung Tai Chan Monastery.

Coming from East

• Take Route 8 of Central Cross-Island Highway to Dayu Ridge.
• Turn left onto Route 14 A towards Hehuan Mountain and Wushe.
• At Wushe, turn onto Route 14 towards Puli.
• Pass the Center of Taiwan Monument (the Geographic Center Stele) in Puli, and then go straight on Xinyi Road.
• Turn right at Xian Road and continue driving for 7 kilometers.
• Turn left at Yongfeng Road and go straight until you arrive at the monastery.

Public Transportation

• Bus: Take a bus to Puli.
• Train: Take a train to Taichung Railway Station, then walk to Gancheng Station and take a bus to Puli.
• High Speed Rail: Take the High-Speed Rail (HSR) to Taichung Station (Wuri), then take a bus to Puli.

After arriving at Puli, take a taxi to the monastery.
